about WILSON
Wilson ‘Kofi’ Darko, is a product manager, speaker, and strategist. As a first-generation college graduate from The Bronx, NY, he strives to increase participation and future-readiness in tech for the next generation. over his career he has served as a leader in various organizations, placing emphasis on mentoring, developing leaders, and professional development.
His professional background has spanned across roles in engineering, tech, sales, and business strategy. Wilson’s educational background includes a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia Business School, where he was the 2024 Graduation Student Speaker. He also earned a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology. Wilson has been recognized for his impact with several awards and recognitions, including the Bruce R. James, Distinguished Public Service Award, Columbia Alumni Association Fellowship, Davis Leadership Award, and more.
Wilson currently works in the Cloud and Artificial Intelligence space as a Product Manager at Microsoft Azure, building out the infrastructure and emerging tech of today.
Wilson has mentored over 100 college students, early talent professionals, and entrepreneurs across several industries into finding their authority in their spaces, succeeding as their authentic self and developing a successful roadmap to an intentional life and career. Wilson is on a mission to empower others in strategically developing their best self, and building the better world of tomorrow.
Why Kofi?
In Ghanaian culture, each person is given a day-name, mine being Kofi. As a Ghanaian-American, Kofi represents to me my culture, the legacy I come from and shall build. Kofi represents my story that I share to you. KofiSpeaks is an opportunity to speak truth to power, to encourage innovation, and spark a desire for greater impact in others.
